Medan, University Muhammadiyah of Sumatra Utara managed to carve out quite a number of achievements in 2018, both at national and international levels.

The achievements of UMSU cover the academic and student fields. In the academic field, UMSU successfully boosted nine study programs from rank B to A, the most for private universities in North Sumatra. The UMSU library also won A accreditation and received the national best BI Corner award at the university level from Bank Indonesia.

The Chancellor of UMSU, Dr. Agussani, MAP, told reporters that he was grateful for the achievements of the university in 2018 both in the academic and student affairs fields. The achievements were inseparable from the earnest efforts of all academicians and employees.

 

 

According to him, UMSU’s achievements in 2018 were in line with the university’s performance targets. Henceforth, UMSU will continue to strive to improve performance to maintain and improve performance to get maximum results.

“Maintaining achievement is usually much more difficult than reaching it because the competition in the future is getting tougher. “UMSU will make every effort to improve its performance in order to achieve maximum achievements in 2019,” he said accompanied by WR 1, Dr. Muhammad Arifin Gultom, WR2, Akrim, SPdI, MPd, WR 3, Dr. Rudianto, S. Lebih lanjut rektor menyampaikan terima kasih atas dukungan dan kepercayaan yang diberikan masyarakat kepada UMSU sehingga mampu meraih prestasi yang cukup membanggakan baik di level nasional maupun internasional. Based on the records, the various achievements achieved by UMSU in 2018 at the international level include Tri Winarni representing Indonesia who successfully donated 1 silver medal to karate sports in the category of individuals in the prestigious International Asean University Games (AUG) in 2018 held in Naypyidaw , Myanmar.

The UMSU UKM Badminton athlete also successfully demonstrated his achievements by winning two gold and one bronze at the Banda Baru Li Ning Badminton championship in Batam on behalf of Danang Haryandika and Yufi virgyanda.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Winner of scientific poster on behalf of Rizki Azura Ayuningtia and 1st Champion of product / prototype on behalf of Ayub Syahputra at the National Student Creativity Scientific Week and National Appropriate Exhibition. The UMSU student also successfully won 1st place in Putra Tilawah on behalf of Muhammad Yandre at the Private Islamic University Student Creativity Week in Yogyakarta.

In addition to the achievements made by students, UMSU alumni also proved able to gain trust in filling strategic positions in high state and government institutions including as regional head, Zahir as Regent of Coal, H M Syahrial, Mayor of Tanjungbalai, Hefriyansah, Mayor of Pematangsiantar. H Dzulmi Eldin was also listed as an alumni of the UMSU Postgraduate program with the North Sumatra Regional Police Chief, Irjend Pol, Agus Andrianto and a number of officials and Kapolres in the North Sumatra Regional Police. One member of the Judicial Commission, Farid Wajdi was also listed as an alumni of UMSU.
